Sanne Wierenga

My name is Sanne Wierenga and I am a second-year student of the Research Master in Cognitive Neuroscience at Radboud University. After completing my Bachelor in Psychology, I wasn’t quite fulfilled and wanted to learn more, particularly in the area of brain and cognition. Through various courses and lab rotations, I discovered my interest in brain stimulation, both in research and in clinical practice.

During my internship, I will be assisting Kenneth van der Zee in his project using Transcranial Ultrasound Stimulation (TUS) and fMRI to investigate automatic action tendencies and adjustments to changing environments. This project is affiliated with the Experimental Psychopathology & Affective Neuroscience, Intention & Action, and Cognitive Neuromodulation labs. I will be supervised by Ivan Toni and Karin Roelofs.
