My name is Nina Dijkstra and my main responsibilities can be found within the bachelor programme of Psychology at Radboud University. I am involved as teacher and supervisor in multiple courses throughout the bachelor program and enjoy spreading my enthusiasm for both psychology and neuroscience with students. As part of this teaching position, I got offered the possibility to contribute to research as well. I am happy to help Mariana Carneiro de Andrade on her PhD project regarding enhancing exposure therapy with the use of transcranial alternating current stimulation (tACS) for socially anxious participants.
Throughout my master in Neuroscience & Cognition at Utrecht University I gained experience in other sorts of non-invasive brain stimulation as well, both in the context of experimental manipulation and clinical application. During my final internship at the department of neuropsychiatry at Melbourne University, we tested the reproducibility and generalizability of previously reported neuroimaging biomarkers for rTMS treatment response among individuals diagnosed with treatment resistant depression.
