I am Milou, a second-year Master’s student in the Cognitive Neuroscience programme at Radboud University, following the Development and Lifelong Plasticity track. I completed my Bachelor’s in Psychobiology at the University of Amsterdam, where I wrote my thesis on long-term memory and foraging strategies in chimpanzees at ARTIS.
During my Master’s, and specifically through taking track-specific courses, I became increasingly interested in developmental neuroscience in humans and the question of how biological and environmental factors shape behaviour over time. This curiosity led me to the EPAN lab, where I am currently involved in the BIBO study. My research focuses on how testosterone and early life stress influence emotional control in 18-year-olds, combining behavioural measures and functional neuroimaging.
I am working under the supervision of Maria Andrikopoulou and Dr. Anna Tyborowska, and I’m excited to contribute to research that deepens our understanding of adolescent development.
